Not being mechanics, we've done our best to relay what the actual issue is that's prompted the recalls, but most articles we've found on the topic stop after mentioning something about the fuel pump and engines that won't start.

Honda has just announced that it is issuing a recall of 528,406 Chinese-made cars. Apparently they need to fix power steering lines and pumps as well as fuel pump relays on the hundreds of thousands of affected vehicles.

Honda (HMC) is notifying 6 million owners of Hondas and Acuras that they are entitled to warranty extensions and, in some cases, payments because odometers in their vehicles rolled up miles too fast. That made warranties expire too soon and hit some lease customers with excess-mileage penalties.

Looks like new Honda fit has been upgraded to shine new light subcompact market. Honda say its "highly refined and ultra-adaptable functionality, sporty driving demeanor and high levels of standard safety equipment". Sure seems to fit the bill for 5-door, subcompact hatchback market needs.

Honda this week said it misprinted a toll-free auto-safety phone number in 1.2 million car manuals for the 2006 model year. Instead of an '888' prefix, Honda printed an '800.' And customers who attempted to use the phone number didn't get just any service. They were greeted by a phone sex line.
